Scally and Flat Cap

A flat cap, or, in Boston, a scally cap is a rounded cap with a small stiff brim in front.  Mainly made of wool tweeds.   When the Irish/English hardworking immigrants came to the United States, they brought the scally cap with them.  A scally cap can and should be worn by young and old and boy or girl.

The cap is referred to and AKA, Irish scally cap, paddy, newsboy, flat, touring, jeff, gatsby, apple, lundberg, pageboy, cabbie, baker boy, driver’s, golf, eight panel, dai, wigens, fisherman, longshoreman, duffer, tudor bonnet, cheese-cutter (NZ), bonnet (Scotland) and scally cap (Boston).

A little Boston luck and a drop of Irish magic sewn into each cap.
